Mutsumi Komune is a Tokyo-based English interpreter and instructor with over twenty years of experience. Her interpreting work spans a wide range of fields, including international conferences, corporate training sessions, seminars, and media. She also teaches “English for Brewers,” an online English course focused on fermentation and brewing.

Today, she focuses on sharing Japan’s rich fermentation and brewing culture—such as sake, miso, mirin, and soy sauce—with the world. Through brewery tour interpretation, fermentation workshops, and content creation, she helps bring the authentic flavors of Japan and the craftsmanship behind them to a global audience.
