Our kioke-themed event is returning this December!

We will be hosting again in December the workshop on kioke (traditional wooden barrels), which I thoroughly enjoyed when we held it in November! The event will feature a soy sauce tasting and a bracelet-making session inspired by taga (hoop) weaving.

The workshop will take place on Monday, December 22, with two sessions:
① 15:30–16:15
② 16:15–17:30
The venue is Hakko Department, the same location as last time.

What makes this event different from the one in November is that President Asai of Maruya Hatcho Miso will also be offering a miso tasting session. It is a rare opportunity to taste authentic Hatcho miso—made only from soybeans, salt, and water, and aged naturally for two summers and two winters without human intervention.

We hope you will join us for the full kioke experience: miso tasting, soy sauce tasting, and creating a bracelet using the traditional taga weaving method.
